profile

architstudio was founded in 2005. Miguel E. Vicéns is the studio leader and founder of architstudio. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in environmental design from the School of Architecture at the University of Puerto Rico and a Masters of Architecture from The School of Architecture at Arizona State University. In 2002 he relocated to Dallas, Texas to further his experience in the architecture and interior design fields working with well-known local firms. He has become a trained professional in the fields of high-end residential, hospitality, commercial, graphic design and art projects. Miguel has collaborated on projects in Puerto Rico, Mexico, Costa Rica, El Salvador and the United States. He is currently in the process of becoming a licensed architect in the state of Texas to further his practice.

studio philosophy

To create balanced design compositions that function within themselves and its environment. Creating balanced spaces using forms, color and materials (to give some examples).
Start with basic concepts that are suitable for its function and apply these same principals to the design of artifacts, furniture, art and graphics to make sure the design solutions is unified. architstudio also believes in sustainability but not as a theme, sustainable design is simply the correct way to go.

A lot of people settle with ordinariness, but architstudio strives to overcome that and craft thoughtful spaces and artifacts and is always looking to work with individuals and entities that have a drive and interest in creating great design.
